CA Gov. Newsom Endorses VP Harris For President
(Sacrament, CA) -- California Governor Gavin Newsom is endorsing Vice President Harris for president. In a statement on social media Sunday, Newsom said, "With our democracy at stake and our future on the line, no one is better to prosecute the case against Donald Trump's dark vision." Newsom joins a growing list of key Democrats who have thrown their support behind Harris following President Biden's decision to drop out of the race for the White House. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro also gave his endorsement to Harris. Political analysts have named Shapiro as a possibility for Harris' running mate should she become the Democratic presidential nominee.
