Lancaster Airport in Pennsylvania has been awarded a $2 million grant from the state Department of Transportation. The funds will be used to support the design and site work for the construction of three new corporate hangars.
The project, which is expected to cost nearly $3 million for the site work alone, comes in response to a high demand for hangar space at the airport. Currently, there are 12 companies on a waiting list to lease hangar space.
The grant is part of the state's ongoing efforts to support local infrastructure and economic development. The new hangars will provide additional space for corporate aircraft, supporting the growth of local businesses and the regional economy.
