(Harrisburg, PA) -- More than a million dollars in federal grants have been approved to help address a consistent source of flooding in the Harrisburg area. Senator Bob Casey announced funding this week with a goal of reducing flooding along Paxton Creek. Half-a-million dollars will go to Capital Region Water with an eventual goal of establishing a new wastewater collection line. Seven-hundred-fifty-thousand dollars will go to the Harrisburg Redevelopment Authority for the purposes of creek restoration.
