PA Officials Say Broad Street Market Could See No State Funding Without Contractor

(Harrisburg, PA) -- Harrisburg's Broad Street Market could be without any state funding now that local officials have delayed an agreement with a construction contractor. State Representatives Patty Kim and Dave Madsen have sent a letter to the Harrisburg City Council, informing them that a company must be approved and attached to the project in order for it to be included in the state budget. The council voted to delay the approval of the contract with the construction manager due to concerns over the selection process. Some council members also questioned the pricing of the work.
