Ride Of Silence Honors Cyclists Who Died, Were Injured

(Harrisburg, PA) -- A series of white bicycles and a red one that have been on display at the state capitol represent cyclists who were killed or injured while riding. Promoters for the Harrisburg Ride of Silence say their annual memorial event Wednesday night helped riders unite in solidarity. Most of the cyclists also took part in a memorial ceremony at the state capitol steps after the ride. The 27 white "ghost bikes" were on display to honor the memory of 27 cyclists who were killed in Pennsylvania last year. The red one was for all who have been injured.
