Minority Leader Says New Poll Supports Increased Voter ID
(Harrisburg, PA) - The Pennsylvania House Minority Leader says a new poll that shows more state residents want to increase Voter ID requirements confirms his stance. Bryan Cutler, a Republican from Lancaster, says the figures show "it's not right for the Democratic majority to continue to bottle up" an amendment in committee. House Republicans have launched an effort to use a discharge resolution to force a vote on the proposal. The Franklin and Marshall poll released last week reportedly shows that 73 percent of Pennsylvanians support requiring a photo ID each time a person votes.
