Father Charged with Infant Son's January Death
(Lancaster, PA) - A Lancaster father has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of his baby son. Ephrata Police say the six-month-old child died after going into cardiac arrest in January. His father, Timothy Walton, told police he rolled over on the infant when the two were sleeping and the baby was unresponsive when he woke up. Walton also admitted to smoking pot and drinking before he fell asleep. Officials say autopsy results show the baby died from asphyxia. In addition to manslaughter, Walton faces charges of child endangerment and marijuana possession.
