Commissioners To Vote On Installing Fence Around County Government Center
(Lancaster County, PA) -- County commissioners will vote today on whether to hire a contractor to install a permanent fence around the Lancaster County Government Center. Supporters say it needs to happen so that voters will be safe when they come to the building to cast their ballots. The new fence would enclose an overhang where officials say people who are homeless and others often store their belongings, sleep or hang out. Commissioner Alice Yoder says, if approved, the fence likely won't be ready in time for the April 23rd primary election.
