Mini Market Owners Charged With Fraud, Trafficking For Food Stamp Scheme
(Harrisburg, PA) --Two people are accused of operating a trafficking ring in Franklin County that involved food stamps. The Office of the State Inspector General has brought charges against the owners of the Manmanyo Mini Market, a Haitian Caribbean store in Chambersburg. The two owners are accused of stealing nearly 200-thousand-dollars in SNAP benefits. The state says its OSIG investigators found that the two purchased cards for about half their value from SNAP recipients. State investigators' case against the couple continues.
