Faith Friendship Villa Struggles With Funding After Employee Sexual Assault Allegations
(Mountville, PA) -- A long-term care facility in Mountville is struggling with funding after it faced disturbing sexual abuse allegations. Faith Friendship Villa says it's running out of money because of the lack of donations and grant funding. This comes nearly a year after a former caretaker was sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting 14 residents over 15 years. Executive Director Tammi Morris says the former caretaker's actions made a devastating impact on the facility and it feels like the residents are being punished as well. Faith Friendship Villa said it reached out to Governor Josh Shapiro's office for help and is expecting a response in the coming weeks.
