Residents Wait Out Power Restoration After Huge Snowfall
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Weather officials say nearly 13 inches of snow fell in parts of Pennsylvania in Tuesday's early morning storm. Experts at the National Weather Service in State College say 30-mile-per-hour winds coupled with wet, heavy snow encased limbs and caused power lines to fall across much of the area. Officials say that resulted in about 150-thousand people being without electricity. Met-Ed spokesman Todd Meyers says a handful of residents in several pockets are still without power this morning but it should be fully restored by Wednesday evening.
