Deadline Today for Congressional Candidate Filing
(Harrisburg, PA) - Would-be Congressional candidates for the 10th Congressional District have until 5:00 tonight to file their intentions with the Federal Election Commission. By law, they must have at least one-thousand signatures from voters within their desired district on file in order to appear on the primary ballot April 23rd. So far, three candidates had done that: Harrisburg City Councilwoman Shamaine Daniels, West Point veteran and educator Mike O'Brien and former TV anchor Janelle Stelson. Incumbent Republican Congressman Scott Perry filed his petitions earlier.
