(Harrisburg, PA) -- York City police are proposing new gun laws that they say will cut down on arbitrary gunfire. Captain Daniel Lentz presented the proposals to the city council Wednesday, saying stronger efforts are needed to crack down on what police call "reckless firing". Current law deems say it's only a crime to fire a gun if a victim or witness comes forward, so the proposals would outline what is and is not lawful for using a gun in the city. No date has been set yet for a vote by the full council.
