Berks County Father sentenced to prison time for car crash that killed infant son
(Wyomissing, PA) -- A Berks County man will spend over 11 months in prison after pleading guilty to a crash that killed his one-year-old son. The crash also seriously injured another toddler - officials say neither child was in a car seat. Isaiah M. Rakiem, who is 23 was charged in July with vehicular homicide following an eight-month investigation. The crash happened in November of 2022 in the Centre Park section of Reading. Rakeim pleaded guilty Thursday in Berks County Court to homicide by vehicle, endangering the welfare of children and aggravated assault by vehicle. He was taken into custody after sentencing.
