PUC Unveils Proposed Policy Statement For Electric Vehicle Charging Rates
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Public Utility Commission in Pennsylvania is moving to establish rules to set rates for electric vehicle owners. The PUC published a notice Saturday inviting public comment on a Proposed Policy Statement for electric utility rates for electric vehicle charging. The move comes in response to a 2022 petition filed by a coalition mostly composed of groups focused on promoting the use of electric vehicles. Industry forecasts suggest that within the ten years, EV sales are expected to comprise 45-50 percent of all cars and trucks sold.
