Berks Fifth graders Take 3rd Place in Inventing Competition

(Reading, PA) -- Two fifth graders from Berks County will look back on 2023 with fond memories. Leah Delmonico from Reading and Riley Fegely won national honors in an inventing competition. The two share a science class at Oley Valley Elementary School and have developed a device that helps water bottles stay put on flat surfaces. Their invention, the Bottle Buddy, is a portable, 3D-printed compartment that's magnetic and attaches to a desk. The kids were part of the competition at the Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention.
