PA Lawmakers Try Again To Lower Penalties For Marijuana Possession.
(Harrisburg, PA) - Two state lawmakers say they'll try again in the new session to get penalties lowered for marijuana possession. Republican Senators Camera Bartolotta and Sharif Street plan to reintroduce a bill that would treat cannabis possession more like a parking ticket. Right now, having less than one ounce is considered a summary offense. Senator Bartolotta introduced legislation last year that would have required proof that a driver is impaired and unable to safely operate a car from medical marijuana use. It didn't pass.
