>Bidding Extended for Work on Broad Street Market Tent Structure
(Harrisburg, PA) -- Contractors now have until January 4th to bid on electric and plumbing work for the tent structure at Broad Street Market. The temporary site is being built to house vendors who were affected by a fire at the historic market nearly five months ago. The process as noted on the PennBid website shows the deadline has been extended from this past Monday. A city spokesperson had said previously that they'd hoped to have the tent up within weeks after the fire, but supply chain issues and contractors being busy with other jobs have caused the delay. PPL has delivered electricity and HVAC to the structure, so it at least has heating.
