New Year to be Celebrated with Bologna Disco Ball Drop in Lebanon County

(Lebanon County, PA) -- A bologna drop from a disco ball will help ring in the New Year in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. City officials say the bologna will be attached to a disco ball that the public can see starting at 3 p.m. Sunday, December 31st. The event itself is set to take place at midnight at South 8th Street between Chestnut and Cumberland Streets. The meat will be donated to the Lebanon Rescue Mission after the event. Lebanon is known for its production of the smoked, and fermented semi dry beef sausages. Producers say it's more tangy and harder than regular bologna.
