Lawsuit Filed Against Cumberland County School District
(Cumberland County, PA) -- A lawsuit is underway against a Cumberland County school district alleging inappropriate conduct by a former high school baseball coach. Two families filed the suit last week accusing Scott Stoy of inappropriately touching two players during his time with the Carlisle Area School District. The suit alleges he made the boys feel uncomfortable by touching them while they were lifting weights and would regularly film the baseball team stretching and working out. The school district is also accused of negligence, gross negligence, carelessness, and recklessness in their duties to protect the students from sexual abuse, as well as violating Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services laws.
