Settlement Proposed Regarding Dozens Of Electric Utility Billing Complaints

(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission is considering a joint settlement to resolve widespread billing issues with PPL Electric Utilities. The PUC's independent Bureau of Investigation and Enforcement proposed a million dollar civil penalty. Furthermore, per the terms of the settlement, PPL would agree to absorb more than 16-million dollars in related costs. Earlier this year, the PUC launched its investigation into multiple complaints regarding customers' bills.
