Harrisburg Man Speaks Out About Strokes Suffered After Roller Coaster Ride
(Harrisburg, PA) -- A Harrisburg man is speaking out after he says he suffered severe injuries soon after riding a roller coaster at a local, popular amusement park. Scott Patrick, who is 37, says he experienced an artery dissection that led to multiple strokes after the force of the ride's twists and turns caused an artery to his brain to tear. He says medical officials have since told him the best way to be safe is to stay as straight as possible in your seat, and to follow the direction the coaster is turning with your head. Patrick also says you should be cautious if you have high blood pressure before you get on a jarring ride.
