Study: Daily Marijuana Use Leads To Higher Risk Of Heart Disease

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Daily marijuana use raises the risk of heart failure, say two new studies. Presented at the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions in Philadelphia, the study says older adults who don't smoke tobacco but use marijuana are at a higher risk of heart attack and stroke when hospitalized. Those who use the drug every day are 34-percent more likely to see heart failure, according to the non-published studies. The AHA advises people not to smoke or vape any substance, including cannabis, because of potential heart and lung issues.
