>PPL Electric Utilities set to lower residential rates by 9%

(Lancaster, PA) -- The PPL utility company says customers who don't shop for electricity supply will see a drop in prices starting December 1st. For residential customers, the new rate of 11 point-oh-28 cents per kilowatt hour will mean the electric bill for an average residential customer will drop by about 11-dollars. For business customers it will go down by about three-dollars. Company officials say the December 1st drop follows larger decreases that took effect June 1st of 2023.
