State House Health Committee to Hear Pro, Con Arguments on Legalizing Marijuana
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The House Health Committee Subcommittee on Health Care has scheduled a hearing today to consider how the legalization of marijuana in Pennsylvania might look. Most Republicans who control the Senate have made it clear that they don't support legalization. But House Health Committee Chairman Dan Frankel says the ideas heard today will help him draft for a new proposal that will be more effective than a bill he previously sponsored on the subject. He says there will likely be two or three meetings to discuss the reform before its brought to the full committee.
