Broadband Development Authority Challenges Federal Map Of Broadband Access
(Harrisburg, PA) -- The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority is challenging the accuracy of a federal map that allegedly shows the extent of broadband access in the state. Broadband is high-speed Internet access that is continually available. A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development says the authority's challenges, which were submitted at the end of last week, generally point out areas the feds mistakenly labeled for having broadband. The map will play a role in determining how much federal aid states receive to improve broadband access.
