>>Penn State Professor Facing Misdemeanor Charges
(State College, PA) -- A Penn State professor is being accused of assaulting a counter-protester during a pro-vaccination rally last month. Police say on August 27th, assistant professor of English and African American Studies, Walter Oliver Baker, allegedly attempted to take a sign away from the counter-protester and injured him in the process. The counter-protester alleges that he was trying to peacefully protest, but Baker's attorney says he failed to mention his agnostic, menacing and aggressive behavior to police. The attorney added that he had the intent to cause a disruption. Baker's preliminary hearing is set for October 13th, and he is currently on administrative leave as the investigation continues.
