Hersheypark In The Dark Opens for Three Weekends

The arrival of fall signals that Hersheypark amusement park will soon transform into Hersheypark In The Dark Halloween attraction for three sweet weekends on Oct. 18-20, Oct. 25-27 and Nov. 1-3.

The annual, family-friendly event will feature more than 50 rides and attractions, including 13 roller coasters and the Reese’s Cupfusion attraction, the all-new interactive gaming ride featuring the most targets in the world and six unique ways to play. Thrill seekers can experience a lights-out ride on three wooden roller coasters during the last hour of operation each evening. The indoor glowing Laff Trakk coaster will also be dark throughout Park operation.

During Hersheypark In The Dark, children 12 and under can trick-or-treat at 13 candy stops set up throughout Treatville trick-or-treat trail in Hersheypark, ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park and Hershey Hallow in Hershey’s Chocolate World attraction. Guests of all ages can also satisfy their sweet tooth with festive food and beverage offerings available for purchase, such as Pumpkin King Size Shakes, a Pumpkin Funnel Cake Sundae and s’mores made with cookies and peanut butter cups.

Hersheypark In The Dark will also offer live entertainment, including “Screaming Mummies,” a band of misfit mummies performing throwback Halloween tunes; a Hershey Characters Glow Dance Party; and performances from “Our Friends from the Sea” on select dates and times.

Additionally, parkgoers are invited to bring a flashlight to ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park for a nighttime tour during the Creatures Of The Night attraction. While ZooAmerica is always included in the one-price admission to Hersheypark when entered through the Park during operating hours, this unique Halloween-themed experience is the only time of year ZooAmerica is open after dark. ZooAmerica is open daily and Creatures Of The Night starts at 6 p.m.
