A new kind of emergency drill is being used at a Lancaster County hospital. More than 100 first responders participated in an active shooter drill yesterday at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital that focused on survivors of a hypothetical attack. Participants were trying a new strategy to find a way to get to those wounded in a hypothetical shooting while also allowing authorities to contain the shooter. This was Wellspan's biggest of its three drills for the year.
