A bill making its way through the state legislature would bar non-disclosure agreements in sexual-misconduct claims. A Berks County lawmaker introduced the legislation with the purpose of encouraging victims to report sexual misconduct. The bill would prohibit courts from enforcing such agreements in civil lawsuits over sexual misconduct allegations. It would also void pre-existing agreements when a person entered into it while under duress or impaired, or as a minor.
