Pennsylvania State Representative Rick Saccone is ready to start campaigning for the 18th Congressional district seat. Saccone was chosen to be the GOP candidate and says he will hit the ground running today to prepare for the March special election. The seat is being vacated by Tim Murphy, a pro-life Republican who resigned following accusations he asked his mistress to get an abortion when he thought she was pregnant. Saccone says he has a lot he wants to accomplish, including supporting President Trump, who he feels is getting a lot of resistance and needs help.
