Construction on a new state police barracks is getting underway in Cumberland County. South Middletown Township supervisors approved the plans last week. The new site is on Dunwoody Drive off Alexander Spring Road, about a half-mile from the current property. State police will lease the land for the new 15-thousand-square-foot building, which should be done in the spring.
