The Department of Justice is again threatening to withhold funding from Philadelphia if it doesn't change its sanctuary city status. The DOJ issued a letter yesterday warning Philadelphia that it's violating a federal statute. The statute requires local governments to cooperate with federal immigration officials in deporting suspected illegal immigrants who are in local jails. The city has until October 27th to prove it's in compliance.
