(Allegheny County, PA) -- A McCandless woman is going to prison for drowning her two youngest sons in the bathtub. Laurel Schlemmer was found guilty, but mentally ill, of third-degree murder and was sentenced yesterday to 30-to-80 years behind bars. Schlemmer told police she drowned the children so she could be a better mother to their older brother.
