Authorities in New Jersey say the Middletown man who drowned was apparently trying to help two kids who had been pulled into the ocean. Wildwood police say the kids were playing on a sandbar prior to being pulled into the ocean on Sunday afternoon, possibly by a riptide. Lifeguards went into the water to save several swimmers, but later found out a Dauphin County man was missing. His body was found a couple of hours later by surfers near Wildwood Crest.
