Londonderry Township is moving forward with a plan to remove homes from two islands in the Susquehanna River. Homeowners on Shelley and Bayshore islands are being told they will need to stop using their cabins by September 30th and have them removed by October of 2019. Leaders say they have no choice because many of the homes are not in compliance with FEMA flood plans and the York Haven Power Company does not want to extend the leases.
