Bass Pro Shops is donating 40 life preserving vests to the Harrisburg Bureau of Police. Officers will use the vests when they are called to an emergency along the Susquehanna River. Until now, life vests have not been part of standard police equipment. A spokesperson from Bass Pro Shops says, "We teach water safety to our kids at the store, and we just thought this would be the perfect opportunity to pass on what we believe in strongly."
