Two PSP troopers shot, recovering

Two Pennsylvania state police troopers are recovering after being shot in Fairchance, Fayette County.  The officers were undercover when they approached Clarence Velsar the Third, outside a Shop n' Save Friday night.  Velsar was suspected of selling stolen goods.  He allegedly began firing when he realized the men were law enforcement.  The troopers returned fire and Velsar was killed.  One of the officers was treated and released from the hospital.  The other had surgery and is in critical condition, but is expected to live.
