Police are investigating vandalism of the Frank Rizzo statue in front of the city's Municipal Services Building. Someone sprayed "black power" on the statue last night. The statue has been the source of controversy as Councilwoman At-Large Helen Gym called for its removal earlier this week. Critics of Rizzo say during his time as mayor and police commissioner African-Americans were regularly targeted and treated brutally.
