Pennsylvania congressman wants confederate symbols removed

PA Congressman Dwight Evans is co-sponsoring a bill that would prohibit federal funds from being used to maintain or display Confederate symbols on federal public land.  The No Federal Funding for Confederate Symbols Act would make exceptions "if the use of such funds is necessary to allow for removal of the symbol, to address public safety or if the symbol is displayed in a museum or educational exhibit."   Evans says, "If we want our nation to heal and move forward, we must remove these abhorrent symbols at once."
