PA reducing standardized tests

Pennsylvania is reducing the amount of time students will spend taking standardized tests.  Governor Tom Wolf made the announcement yesterday explaining one math section and one English section are being removed from the exams and some questions in science are also being eliminated.  Wolf says the reduction in testing will allow teachers more time to teach and promises it will not mean a reduction in accountability.  The change will begin in the spring of 2018 and will affect kids in grades three through eight.
