A judge is temporarily stopping work on Sunoco's Mariner East 2 pipeline pending a hearing next month. The judge made the announcement yesterday saying the state Public Utility Commission needs to rule on whether Sunoco violated a settlement agreement with West Goshen Township. The township is questioning Sunoco's decision to move a valve control station but the company says it was done for safety reasons. The 350-mile pipeline will be used to carry propane, butane and ethane.
