The owner of a pit bull is facing charges in connection with the dog's attack on two small children. Police say the owner, who was arrested yesterday, left the dog in his backyard while he ran errands when the dog escaped, attacking a five-year-old boy and his two-year-old sister. The children's mother says both kids suffered severe facial lacerations with nerve and muscle damage that will require multiple surgeries.
