Crash blamed on selfie-taking driver

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that happened just before 8:30 p.m. in Gettysburg Saturday.

Police say Alexander Lopez-Cintron was driving west on Chambersburg Road, when his vehicle traveled into the grass, went air borne, and struck a concrete slab.

Witnesses told police that prior to the crash, Lopez-Cintron was seen using his cellphone, taking a selfie, causing him to be distracted before the crash.

According to police, the engine block was dislodged from the vehicle due to impact with the concrete slab.
