Police are investigating an accident that killed a child in Fairview Township.
Officials say the six-year-old boy was riding a dirt bike when he was hit by a vehicle on Interstate 83 near Exit 39 yesterday. Witnesses claim the boy rode into oncoming traffic.
A family member tells pennlive.com that their backyard is adjacent to the highway. The boy apparently lost control while riding in the yard and entered the Interstate.
