A proposed merger between Camp Hill based Rite Aid and Walgreens is no longer in the works. Rite Aid officials made the announcement yesterday in advance of the Federal Trade Commission's expected block over fears the deal would drive up prices. Walgreens will instead buy about half of Rite Aid's stores and pay the company a "break-up fee." Walgreens executives claim they will keep the current Rite Aid employees.
