"Libre's Law" is now official. Governor Wolf signed the anti-animal cruelty bill into law yesterday with its namesake puppy by his side. The significant legislation makes animal abuse a felony in certain situations, such as animal fighting and severe abuse of cats or dogs. The law is named after a Boston Terrier puppy who was found neglected and in poor health last year at a Lancaster County farm.
