Child-in-cage case advances

A man accused of keeping a toddler in a makeshift cage is heading to trial after waiving a preliminary hearing.  Cecil Kutz was charged last month with three counts each of child endangerment and reckless endangerment due to conditions found at his North Manheim home.  State Police say Kutz locked his nearly two-year-old son in the cage leaving the boy in a hot house with two younger kids, one of whom had been born hours earlier.  Police say Kutz told them he went to see his wife in the hospital, but his wife said he wasn't there and didn't know where he was.
