An HIV-positive man is facing charges for allegedly spitting at Middletown police officers. Michael Morton is charged with aggravated assault in connection to the Wednesday incident. The officers were called to Vine Street for a report of a fight but when they arrived, they found an agitated Morton, who ran into traffic and began dancing. When officers tried to subdue him, he swung at them, kicked them and spit in their eyes. He later told detectives he was on cocaine and meth and is also HIV positive.
