Senator Randy Vulakovich is trying to improve rail service between Pittsburgh and Harrisburg. Vulakovich is sponsoring a study to see if it would be feasible to add a pair of passenger trains between the cities. He says the study will determine what infrastructure improvements are needed to make additional passenger service compatible with existing freight service. Vulakovich wants to have the study done by next year.
